We’re reaching out to share a heads-up on two short term impacts to your Physical and/or X,Y Tracking data over the next few weeks. Both are part of our broader commitment to deliver more consistent, higher-quality data across all competitions.
Note: X,Y Tracking and Physical data quality and workflows remain stable, and no client action is required.
What is changing?
We are evolving our Game Intelligence data generation by moving to SkillCorner-owned automated events, reducing reliance on third-party sources while keeping key elements such as shots and goals for quality control purposes. This gives us greater control over data production, improves consistency across competitions, and supports continued improvements in data quality and coverage. This transition has been part of our roadmap for some time and has been validated over the past year through a robust automated pipeline delivering consistent results at scale.
What it means for you:
- Historical match reprocessing
From February through the end of March, we’ll be progressively reprocessing all historical matches, starting with the most recent seasons. During this period, tracking and physical data will be regenerated using our latest tracking algorithm, released in December. This allows us to apply a single, consistent processing standard across the full historical dataset. As a result, current X,Y and Physical data will be overwritten as matches are reprocessed, and you may notice small value adjustments as measurements become more accurate (there will be no versioning of the data). In a limited number of cases physical data may not be available for some matches if it no longer meets our quality thresholds.
- Data delivery timing
Post-match delivery times may be slightly longer during the initial phase, particularly for match analysis use cases. Our teams are monitoring delivery closely and will keep you informed if any changes meaningfully impact workflows.
Reducing our dependency on third-party providers unlocks a key benefit: when you share match video directly with us, we can now produce X,Y Tracking, Physical, and Game Intelligence data together in Fast Delivery mode. If delivery speed is critical for your use case, we’d be happy to discuss the available options.
If you have questions or would like to talk through how this might apply to your workflows, your Customer Success Manager is always available.
